For this Evaluation Learning Programme, UNICEF Evaluation Office has partnered with the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) which plays a pivotal role in contributing to UN reform, the development of a common culture based on effectiveness, expertise and continuous learning through the development, co-ordination and provision of crosscutting learning programmes that impact on all agencies and staff.

UNICEF and UNSSC have enlisted the expertise of BetterEvaluation staff and associates to develop and deliver this online moderated course. BetterEvaluation is an internationally-recognized not-for-profit organization that works collaboratively with individuals and organisations around the world to improve the theory and practice of monitoring and evaluation. It supports those conducting, managing or using M&E in curating and co-creating information on choosing and using situationally-appropriate methods and processes which are freely accessible on betterevaluation.org. BetterEvaluation also provides a range of capacity-strengthening services focusing on individual, organisational and systems levels.

The On-Line Facilitated Evaluation Course you are about to embark on is part of the Evaluation Learning Programme currently being undertaken by UNICEF and UNSSC, which applies learner-centred design, case-based learning, and social learning approaches, to ensure that the course content is highly relevant, and that UNICEF managers are trained to ‘think like experts.’

(This course was developed by BetterEvaluation with contributions from UNICEF and UNSSC staff.)
